For the design of this formal kitchen, it was important to capture and translate style elements indicative of the period when the rest of this historic home was built and also create something completely fresh and new based on that model. With that aim, we designed a space that radiates with natural light and inviting touches of color and texture on a luxurious white palette. Every inch teams with high-end design surprises that both celebrate the new and honor the historic, including handmade subway tile to lend the kitchen a sophisticated gravitas and charm. Glazed cabinets artfully contrast the rusticated tiles, while a marble top island, custom millwork and an elegant chandelier round out this fresh inspiration that provides a perfect environment not only for mealtime, but for any time of the day. Top it off with a sumptuous custom yellow toile valance calling attention to the natural light that pours through the expansive skylight throughout the day and you have elegant charm and sophistication at the ready in this fresh take on formal kitchen living.
